Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and motivated YES Graduate (Quality Trainee) to join our Quality Department in Port Elizabeth. This 12-month graduate programme offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in quality management, process control, and continuous improvement in a world-class manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Quality Trainee, you will:
- Implement and monitor process control programs to ensure products meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Conduct multiple projects from feasibility phase to post-launch assessment.
- Facilitate FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) sessions and support advanced quality planning.
- Develop and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques.
- Support compliance with ISO/TS16949 quality management systems.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Manage customer complaints and provide timely feedback on customer and Faurecia portals.
- Conduct training sessions on quality tools and auditing techniques.
- Continuously review and improve production methods for enhanced quality performance.
Qualifications & Skills
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- NDip or B-Tech in Mechanical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering.
(Final-year 2025 students will be considered upon official confirmation of qualification completion.) - Strong understanding of Quality Core Tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A high level of customer orientation and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Age between 18–35 years.
- Must not have been registered with the YES Youth Programme before.
