BMW Group South Africa is looking for a detail-driven and technically capable STARD Administrator to join their operations team at the electrified plant in Rosslyn, Pretoria — the home of the new generation BMW X3. If you have hands-on SAP Warehouse Management experience and thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment, this role puts you at the centre of one of South Africa’s most prestigious automotive operations.
About the Role
As a STARD Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of warehouse SAP systems while serving as a key link between Warehouse Operations, IT, and Material Planning. Your work directly supports the smooth running of warehouse processes — from receiving and supply exceptions to transfer order management and inventory control.
This is not a passive systems role. You will investigate and resolve SAP Warehouse Management (WM) queries and errors, initiate corrective actions, and support the testing and rollout of new warehouse processes and system enhancements. You will also maintain user manuals, process documentation, and training materials to keep operational teams equipped and informed.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure warehouse SAP data integrity and support stable system performance
- Monitor and maintain warehouse master data following series introductions and process changes
- Investigate, resolve, and escalate SAP WM system queries and errors
- Act as liaison between Warehouse Operations, IT, and Material Planning to resolve system-related issues
- Manage and resolve outstanding warehouse movements, confirmations, and transfer order discrepancies
- Monitor receiving and supply exceptions including air freight, sea freight, ASN, and interim receiving issues
- Initiate corrective actions for bounced parts, quarantine stock, flash stock, phantom parts, E-Hold, and B-Hold processes
- Monitor open transfer orders and escalate ageing transactions timeously
- Support inventory control through variance investigations and root cause analysis
- Maintain operational KPIs at target and shift level
- Support testing, implementation, and training for new warehouse-related system enhancements
What You Need
- National Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or Engineering
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in SAP Warehouse Management (WM) and physical logistics processes
- Advanced SAP certification will be advantageous
- Solid knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics systems, and process improvement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple competing priorities
- High attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity
