Requirements

  • Completed 3-year tertiary IT qualification (Diploma in IT, Support Services, Computer Systems, or BSc in IT)
  • Valid driver’s license (advantageous)
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office Suite, Access, e-mail, and internet
  • No criminal record
  • Currently unemployed
  • Not participating in another learnership or internship programme
  • Not currently enrolled at any other tertiary institution
  • Must currently live in the Newcastle area (relocation is not an option)
  • Under the age of 35 as of 31 July 2026
  • South African Citizen – African, Coloured, and Indian candidates

Skills and Competencies

  • IT Diploma
  • CompTIA A+ and N+
  • Relevant OEM certifications (HP, Dell, Lenovo)
  • ITIL v3 Foundations Certificate (advantageous)
  • Cisco Essentials

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end-user support and resolve logged incidents
  • Communicate professionally, dress appropriately, and maintain a positive attitude
  • Resolve incidents on first contact within SLA
  • Ensure compliance with pending rules
  • Capture accurate data on Resolve IT incidents
  • Identify potential risks through preventative maintenance
  • Deploy, monitor, repair, support, and manage desktops
  • Manage Windows Operating Systems and Office Automation Software
  • Support printers, scanners, and network peripherals
  • Set up desktops and peripherals, test network connections, and install software
