6. Absa Internship: Industrial and Organisational Psychology 2027

Take the final step towards registering as an Industrial Psychologist. Absa Group Limited is offering 12 places on its HPCSA-Accredited Industrial and Organisational Psychology Internship 2027 — a structured, one-year programme that gives Masters-level IOP students the supervised practice hours they need to register for Independent Practice.

The programme covers all six HPCSA domains: Organisational Psychology, Human Resource (Personnel) Psychology, Career Psychology and Employee Wellness/Wellbeing, Testing and Assessment, an Elective (Project), and Professional Ethics. Interns must complete 260 days within the 12-month period and will be evaluated through a logbook and quarterly reports.

What You Will Experience

You will be assigned two supervisors — an internal senior Industrial Psychologist within Absa and an external Industrial Psychologist from a recognised academic institution. You will build practical, industry-relevant experience inside a dynamic Pan-African bank, work alongside experienced professionals, and contribute to meaningful projects with real organisational impact.
