This opportunity is based in Mokopane, Limpopo, at the Mogalakwena South Concentrator.

Key Responsibilities

• Reacting to abnormal activities and notifying the process supervisor
• Providing general labour support across multiple disciplines
• Maintaining good housekeeping standards, including cleaning and painting
• Working under direct supervision and reporting to an Artisan
• Handling materials and maintaining machinery and equipment to control specifications
• Operating engineering tools correctly
• Loading and dispatching material and equipment to work sites
• Assisting all trades (Artisans) with team activities
• Ensuring tools remain available and clean
• Following work instructions and applying recognised work and safety standards
• Working effectively as part of a team to complete tasks to required quality standards
• Minimising unnecessary wastage of material
• Ensuring required tools, material, and spares are available for tasks
• Communicating unexpected problems to Artisans promptly
• Maintaining effective two-way communication with team members
• Assisting operational employees with equipment maintenance in the area of responsibility
• Accompanying Artisans during inspections and task completion
• Promoting safety awareness by encouraging adherence to work procedures and identifying unsafe practices

This role is graded at Band GBF 9 and reports to the Foreman.

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 / NQF 4, including Maths, Science, and English
• A minimum of 6 months’ relevant experience in engineering
• Experience in Electrical, Boilermaking, Fitting, Rigging, or Instrumentation is advantageous
• A valid driving licence is advantageous

Additional Requirements

• Must be a South African citizen
• No criminal record
• Must pass the relevant psychometric assessment
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Willingness to work in accordance with the area’s work schedule, which may involve shifts
• A valid South African driver’s licence will be advantageous
