Gijima is offering unemployed South African graduates a valuable opportunity to gain workplace experience through a MICT SETA-funded ICT Internship Programme based in Midrand. This structured internship is designed to bridge the gap between academic qualifications and practical, hands-on industry experience across a wide range of high-demand technology disciplines.

Successful candidates will be placed into one of the following streams: Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Support, AI Developer, Software Developer, Customer Success, Robotics, Cloud Computing, IoT, and Intelligent Engineering. This diversity of placement areas means graduates from various IT specialisations have the chance to apply their academic knowledge in a real corporate environment while building a strong professional foundation for their future careers.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Completed a 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma, Diploma, or Degree) in an IT-related field such as Information Systems, Information Technology, Informatics, Computer Systems Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • No criminal record
  • Currently unemployed
  • Not participating in any other learnership or internship programme
  • Not currently studying at any other institution, including distance learning
  • Reside in the greater Midrand area (relocation is not an option)
  • Under the age of 35 as of 1 July 2026
  • South African citizen (African, White, Coloured, or Indian)
