Makhado Local Municipality is calling on unemployed graduates and TVET learners to apply for its 2026 Graduate Placement and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme. Opportunities span engineering, technology, accounting, tourism, planning, GIS, auditing and more. Applications close on 31 August 2026.
About the Programme
Funded by LGSETA, the initiative helps young people bridge the gap between academic study and the workplace, offering practical experience in their chosen fields. Graduates can gain up to 12 months of workplace exposure, while TVET learners will be placed for up to 24 months in line with WIL requirements. The municipality is clear that this is not a permanent employment opportunity — the goal is workplace exposure and, where relevant, the practical component needed to complete a diploma.
