Gijima is recruiting one Mechanical Engineering Material Development Intern to join their training centre in Lephalale, Limpopo, as part of their internship programme. This is an opportunity for a qualified mechanical engineering graduate to gain practical, structured workplace experience while contributing to the development of technical training material.
About the Role
The successful candidate will support the development of learning material for mechanical engineering training programmes at Gijima’s Lephalale training centre. This internship is ideal for a recent graduate looking to build hands-on experience in a technical training environment while developing skills in content design, accuracy, and technical communication.
Minimum Requirements
- Completed 3-year tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering (National Diploma or BTech in Mechanical Engineering)
- A valid driver’s license will be an advantage
- Computer literate
- No criminal record
- Currently unemployed
- Not participating in another learnership or internship programme
- Not currently enrolled at any other tertiary institution
- Must reside in Lephalale (relocation is not an option)
- Under the age of 35 as of 31 August 2026
- South African citizen – African, Coloured, and Indian candidates
Skills and Competencies Required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to cope with pressure and deadlines in a fast-moving environment
- Meticulous, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Team player, willing to put in extra effort and time when the team is under pressure
