Metropolitan Tech Company (MTC), based in Johannesburg, is inviting applications from young graduates for its 2026/2027 Internship Programme. The programme is designed to provide graduates with no prior work experience the opportunity to gain meaningful, practical workplace exposure across a range of professional disciplines. The internship runs for a period not exceeding 18 months, and applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years.

MTC is offering internship placements across ten fields, giving candidates from diverse academic backgrounds the opportunity to launch their careers in a structured and supportive environment.

Available Internship Positions

Network Support Interns (Ref: MTCINT01/2026)
Open to graduates with a BCom Degree in IT or Operations Management. Interns will assist with troubleshooting network issues, monitoring and repairing network events, and working with routing protocols including IPv6, BGP, MPLS, and related technologies.

Business Development Interns (Ref: MTCINT02/2026)
Open to graduates with a Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing Management, or IT. Interns will conduct market research, build client insights, and provide analytical support to the Business Development team.

Management Support Interns (Ref: MTCINT03/2026)
Open to graduates with a Degree or Diploma in Communication, Marketing, or Public Relations. Interns will coordinate marketing and communication activities, manage social media platforms, and support stakeholder engagements.

Risk Management Interns (Ref: MTCINT04/2026)
Open to graduates with a Degree or Diploma in Risk Management or Internal Audit. Interns will assist in identifying and evaluating risks, updating risk treatment action plans, and preparing compliance reports.

Internal Audit Interns (Ref: MTCINT05/2026)
Open to graduates with a three-year qualification in Internal Auditing. Interns will assist in developing the annual audit plan, drafting audit findings, and executing audit steps in line with the audit programme.

IT Interns (Ref: MTCINT06/2026)
Open to graduates with a National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or a related field. Interns will provide first-level technical support, assist with hardware and software setup, and support the senior IT team on ongoing projects.

Company Secretary Interns (Ref: MTCINT07/2026)
Open to graduates with a Diploma or Degree in Public Administration, Corporate Governance, or an LLB. Interns will assist with board and committee meeting preparations, minute-taking, and corporate secretarial reporting.

Supply Chain Management Interns (Ref: MTCINT08/2026)
Open to graduates with a Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management. Interns will assist with procurement processes, contract registers, supplier performance monitoring, and SCM administrative duties.

Finance / Administration Management Interns (Ref: MTCINT09/2026)
Open to graduates with a Diploma or Degree in Commerce, IT, or Administration. Interns will assist with accounts management, financial reconciliations, invoice processing, and audit documentation preparation.

Human Resource Management Interns (Ref: MTCINT10/2026)
Open to graduates with a Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management. Interns will support recruitment processes, employee record management, onboarding, HR reporting, and policy implementation.

Important Note

Applicants who have previously benefited from an internship programme or have formal employment experience in their field of study will not be considered.
