About the Apprenticeship

This is a fully structured Millwright Apprenticeship programme that blends on-site practical experience with formal off-site technical training, in full compliance with merSETA regulations. As an apprentice, you will work alongside qualified artisans and team leaders across various production departments, gaining exposure to real engineering environments and developing the technical competencies required to qualify as a skilled millwright. Regular training and development reviews with mentors, team leaders, and HR will ensure your progress stays on track throughout the programme.

The apprenticeship is onsite at Krugersdorp, Gauteng.

Key Responsibilities

As a Millwright Apprentice at Epiroc, you will be expected to:

  • Undertake all on-site and off-site training as prescribed by the Apprentice Programme
  • Attend the required training hours at both the workplace and an accredited training centre, in line with merSETA requirements
  • Understand, comply with, and uphold all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations
  • Actively participate in regular training and development reviews with mentors, qualified artisans, team leaders, and HR
  • Approach all work activities with enthusiasm and a willingness to go the extra mile
  • Take personal responsibility for planning and completing the programme within the required timeframe
  • Rotate across different production departments as and when required

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this apprenticeship, you must have:

  • Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics and Physical Sciences
  • N2 Electrical or Mechanical qualification
