What the Programme Offers

Key Responsibilities
As a GIT, you will:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on the design, development, and execution of research and development projects
- Assist in the setup, testing, and optimisation of scientific apparatus and facilities
- Perform scientific analyses, collect and interpret data, and prepare technical reports
- Support continuous improvement and innovation initiatives across operational environments
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Maintain accurate documentation of project progress, results, and training milestones
Who Should Apply
Necsa is looking for motivated South African graduates who meet the following criteria:
- Citizenship: South African citizens aged between 18 and 35
- Qualifications: BPharm; MSc in Chemistry, Material Sciences, or Physics; BEng/BSc Honours or MEng in Electronic, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Software, or Control Systems Engineering
- Academic record: Strong results in core STEM subjects
- Experience: No prior full-time work experience required — internships, vacation work, or research projects are an advantage
- Technical skills: Computer literate with familiarity in simulation or modelling tools
- Personal attributes: Analytical, curious, collaborative, and committed to continuous learning
