The O.R. Tambo District Municipality invites applications from unemployed graduates residing within its jurisdiction to apply for its 2026 Graduate Internship Programme. This structured 24-month programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic training and practical workplace experience, offering successful candidates the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to local government and public service delivery in the Eastern Cape.

Interns will receive a monthly stipend of R6,000 for the duration of the programme.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for this programme, applicants must:

• Be South African citizens
• Reside within the O.R. Tambo District Municipality jurisdiction
• Hold a relevant Diploma or Degree qualification
• Provide proof of residence from a ward councillor
