The Role

As a Process Technology In-Service Trainee, you will work within the Quality Control (QC) laboratory under regular supervision, playing a vital role in ensuring that raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products comply with Givaudan’s rigorous safety regulations, specifications, and quality standards. This is a hands-on, practical training position designed to equip you with the workplace competencies required to complete your formal qualification.

What You Will Do

You will be responsible for logging samples and managing sample flow within the QC department, as well as conducting chemical, physical, and sensory evaluations of products and incoming ingredients in line with Givaudan’s specifications. Your results will be entered into the SAP system, contributing to acceptance or rejection decisions that directly impact product quality. You will also perform routine equipment calibrations, support troubleshooting of instruments and quality deviations, and maintain a hygienic and safe working environment at all times. Additional duties include providing backup support to team members and carrying out general QC administrative tasks.

What You Bring

You are currently studying towards a diploma or degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field. You have foundational laboratory or QC techniques and a strong working affinity for analytical equipment and laboratory systems. Familiarity with instruments such as weighing balances, densitometers, refractometers, moisture balances, Karl Fischer titrators, sieve testing equipment, and gas chromatography (GC) systems will be a distinct advantage. A solid understanding of chemical substances, hazardous materials, and relevant local regulations is also expected.
