Technical Intern – 2027 Graduate Internship Programme (Johannesburg)

SAS is offering a paid, 12-month Technical Internship (2027 Graduate Programme) in Johannesburg, hybrid, starting 1 February 2027. Open to SA citizens with a degree in Maths, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Analytics, Computer Science, or Economics. No prior work experience required. Applicants must be 30 or younger.


SAS is looking for curious, driven graduates to join its 2027 Graduate Internship Programme in Johannesburg, on a hybrid basis within the Consulting/Customer Advisory division.

What You’ll Do

As a Technical Intern, you will be part of a dynamic team within an innovative technology organisation. Over the 12-month programme, you will:

  • Work on real-world projects that extend your classroom education
  • Receive soft-skills training and mentorship from experts in your field

The programme begins on 1 February 2027.

What We’re Looking For

  • An Undergraduate, Honours, or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Risk, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics, Analytics, Computer Science, or Economics
  • Ability to commit to the full 12-month programme starting 1 February 2027
  • South African citizenship with a valid SA ID
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • No significant prior work experience, and no previous participation in a graduate or internship programme
  • Applicants must not be older than 30 years old
