City Power Johannesburg (SOC) Ltd, in partnership with the Energy and Water Sector Education and Training Authority (EWSETA), is inviting applications from unemployed South African graduates for a 24-month Electrical Engineering Graduate Internship Programme. This structured workplace learning opportunity is designed to build practical industry experience and strengthen critical technical skills within South Africa’s energy sector, giving graduates a genuine pathway into professional employment.
The programme has 120 positions available for candidates holding an NQF Level 7 or NQF Level 8 qualification in Electrical Engineering from a recognised and accredited higher education institution.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen in possession of a valid South African Identity Document
- Be unemployed at the time of application
- Be under the age of 35 years
- Hold an NQF Level 7 or NQF Level 8 qualification in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
- Be academically eligible for professional registration with the relevant statutory professional council
Appointments will be made in line with the Employment Equity Act and City Power Johannesburg’s Employment Equity Plan, with preference given to suitably qualified candidates from designated groups.
