This is a structured, hands-on learning journey that combines theoretical training at an accredited learning centre with practical, on-the-job application under the mentorship of qualified Artisans.

About the Programme

Over the course of three years, apprentices will move through alternating phases of classroom-based theory and real-world practical training. This blended approach ensures that learners are able to convert academic knowledge into tangible technical skill, working alongside experienced tradespeople in a live production environment. The programme demands commitment, as apprentices will be required to work shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and a 6-day working week, with overtime as operationally required. Apprentices will also be expected to meet the theoretical pass rate benchmarks set by management throughout their training.

Essential Requirements

• N2 qualification with four (4) subjects relevant to the trade:
• Engineering Mathematics
• Engineering Science
• Electrical (advantageous)
• Mechanical
• Mechanical and Electrical Drawings
• N3 qualification
• Matric (Grade 12)
• Some relevant work experience
