Gijima is recruiting three IT interns in the West Rand — an IT Support Intern, a Junior Software Developer Intern, and a Product Ops Intern. Applicants must hold a completed IT qualification and reside in Roodepoort, Krugersdorp, or Florida. Closing 1 June 2026.

About the Opportunity

Gijima is recruiting for the following internship roles:

  • 1 x IT Support Intern
  • 1 x Junior Software Developer Intern
  • 1 x Product Ops Intern

All three positions are based in the West Rand (Roodepoort, Krugersdorp, Florida) and are open to unemployed South African graduates who meet the eligibility criteria below.

Who Can Apply?

To be considered for any of the three roles, candidates must:

  • Hold a completed 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma, Degree, or Diploma) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Informatics, Computer Science, or Computer Systems Engineering
  • Be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Be a South African citizen (African, White, Coloured, or Indian)
  • Currently be unemployed and not enrolled in any other learnership, internship, or academic programme (including distance learning)
  • Have no criminal record
  • Reside in the greater West Rand — Roodepoort, Krugersdorp, or Florida (relocation is not an option)
  • Be under the age of 35 as of 1 June 2026

Role-Specific Requirements

IT Support Intern — Responsibilities include desktop hardware and software support, repairs, upgrades and maintenance, printer and network support, reporting and documentation, and assisting with hardware and software audits.

Junior Software Developer Intern — Candidates should have knowledge of the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js, and TypeScript) and demonstrate a strong problem-solving mindset with an eagerness to learn and grow.

Product Ops Intern — Candidates should be familiar with CRM tools such as Zoho CRM or HubSpot, project management platforms such as Trello, Asana, or ClickUp, and collaboration tools including Slack, MS Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet.

General Requirements for All Roles

All candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, a strong command of the English language, meticulous attention to detail, and good time management.
