MA Automotive Tool & Die (Pty) Ltd is a globally recognised manufacturer of vehicle body components, systems, and tools for the sheet metal processing industry. With a strong footprint in South Africa’s automotive sector and an export volume exceeding 30% of total manufacturing output, the company supplies leading automotive customers locally and across international markets including the United States and right-hand drive markets in Asia. This is a business that operates at world-class standards — and they are now offering a structured IT Internship based at their East London / Berlin facility in the Eastern Cape.
This internship is exclusively open to Employment Equity (EE) candidates with a disability, making it a purposeful opportunity for individuals who are ready to bring their skills, energy, and fresh perspective into a dynamic, high-performance manufacturing environment.
About the Role
As an IT Intern, you will be joining the Information Technology function of a well-established automotive manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on learning opportunity designed to give a recently qualified graduate practical exposure to IT support and operations within an industrial environment. You will work alongside experienced professionals, develop your technical and interpersonal capabilities, and gain a meaningful understanding of how IT infrastructure supports large-scale manufacturing processes.
The role is based at the East London / Berlin plant, one of MA Automotive Tool & Die’s key South African production facilities — placing you at the heart of a busy, results-driven operation.
What You Will Need
MA Automotive Tool & Die is looking for candidates who are not just academically qualified but are genuinely driven to grow and make a contribution. You must be:
- Motivated and self-driven — able to take initiative and manage your own workload without constant supervision
- A people person — comfortable engaging with colleagues across departments and demonstrating solid people management skills
- Proficient in MS Office — competent across the Microsoft Office suite as a foundation for day-to-day IT tasks
Minimum Qualification
- A completed NQF Level 6 or NQF Level 7 Degree or Diploma in Information Technology (IT)
This internship is a graduate-entry position. If you have recently completed your IT qualification and are eager to step into your first professional role, this opportunity is worth pursuing.
Why MA Automotive Tool & Die?
Few internship opportunities place you inside a globally connected automotive manufacturer from day one. The company values performance, precision, and people — and this internship reflects that commitment by creating a structured entry point for EE candidates with a disability to launch their careers in the IT space.
